...you get the picture. I finally made it. ONE WHOLE YEAR!

Well, it's been fun. In case you were wondering, this project was a great one for me to accomplish. At first it was fine. Easy peasy. But then towards the middle it got harder to take a picture everyday. I had to make myself do it on most days otherwise I would forget or become too lazy. I do admit that a lot of my pictures were last minute thoughts and super crappy, but whether my pictures were good or bad, they still made me think. And by thinking, I had a certain creative side of me come out that has helped me throughout.

You may be as sad as me to know that this is my last picture for this blog. But don't you worry your little pants off. I have some more ideas in mind that I'm still thinking about for future photo posts for y'all to look at and enjoy. So I'll try and keep you posted somehow.

and in case you're wondering if I'll ever do this again... the answer is HECK YES! and like I said, I'll keep you posted.

These one's here are for my dear friend Amanda Wennstig (mainly becuase me not uploading was breaking her heart). I know they're not the greatest pictures, like I said they were kind of last minute, but the little compact mirror is one of the things she got me from Hong Kong and I absolutely love it. It's beautiful.

I haven't uploaded in a while. Some of you know that already and I am deeply sorry. But I'm back, so don't worry.

You know what sucks more than me not uploading for a few days?? Well let me tell you, I DID take pictures both on Monday and yesterday, but yesterday when I tried to upload them on the computer, they somehow magically got deleted. So pretty much I don't have the original pictures for those days, but I promise you I did take some. So I just took a few other random one's last night to make up for them.

This is a page from my journal that I was working on on Monday night. I usually don't share my journal with people, so consider yourself lucky. But on Sunday I was drawing these weird people that I learned how to draw in 7th grade cartooning and I remembered how much I liked them. So I drew two people (a boy and a girl) kind of dancing and behind them the page is filled with lyrics from 'On the Wing' by Owl City.

Let's look back through today shall we?

In first period I had a test that I'm pretty sure I aced. If you have any questions about Native Americans just ask me, I'm practically pro. Then I went to advisory where Mr. Barbour talked to me about volunteering.. ew, then Film Analysis where we kept watching The Pianist. We still have a little bit to finish, but it's not a bad movie. I'm just not 100% interested in it because it's about part of the holocaust and I can NOT watch stuff about that. I just can't. So I haven't been watching every scene, but the overall story and picture is good. I'm interested in finding out what happens at the end.

OH! so then I was in the library during lunch (normal) and we have these HUGE windows that overlook the gym, field and the ocean... so I was just sitting there talking to LeAnne when all of a sudden this huge group of people were going down towards the gym because apparently there was going to be a fight. And guess what? there was. It was pretty intense too. But I just liked watching it. haha

Then math... then home.

Mom picked me up and bought me this delicious banana bread from a cool bakery down the hill from my school. :)

Then we watched Tyra ( I love that woman), then went and got our nails done.

I haven't had a manicure is a loooooong time, and oh man it was amazing.

Please, if you have extra time (or money), please treat yourself to a manicure or pedicure. Seriously, it felt like I was in heaven and the whole experience was so relaxing and peaceful.

Today was bored when I got home so I went up to my room to change... again (because I change my outfit multiple times a day), and I realized that I have a lot of dresses. More than this too. I love all of them, but the thing is, is that I don't really wear them all. Or close to any for that matter. I mostly just buy them because they're cute and I get them for cheap. So I just tried all of them on and here ya go!
my version of 27 dresses, but with a lot less.

Putting them together didn't turn out my way though. So if you want to see them full size plus more of my pictures, here you go...

haha, 356/365... ALMOST THERE! only nine more days!

Today was a... short day. We got out of school at 11:50 becuase of a power outage. All last night and today it has been rainy, windy, cold and crazy stormy. It's still going on too. So I got home early, put on my sweats and sweatshirt, and just chilled on the couch watching tv and trying to keep warm.

I hate the weather, but I love how it made my day turn out.

1o more days!

Monday: went to IKEA!!!! my mom took us there and we were aloud to get one thing for our rooms. So I got a new down comforter. Since my old one is too small for my new bed I've wanted a new one, and IKEA is the best place to get them!!

I was sad that I didn't find an orange one though, but that's ok.

Saturday: we went to the Kroc center to watch a volleyball tournament. This was during it. I was trying to get a picture of the score board and this girl was apparently saying peace to her friends, at the same time. I thought that was kind of cool though because it was totally coincidence.

Friday, was... Friday. I actually can't really remember Friday. But I do know that I went to the library because I need a good book to read. I haven't read in a long time. sshhh...

So I go to the library, to get a book, and I leave with 3 teen vogue magazines, 2 cd's, 1 seventeen magazine and 1 movie. But hey, at least I enjoy all of them! And you should be happy to know that I'm catching up on the latest fashions and music.

I got a letter from Colleen today. She sent it in this envelope that she made out of a magazine page. Isn't is super cool? I just loved the picture, so I wanted to try and copy it. It didn't turn out quite the way I wanted, but I was tired of trying. So this is it.

I finally got it! Relient K's new (and 7th) album 'Forget and Not Slow Down' is in stores now.

I've been waiting so long to hold this CD in my hands and today was my day. Oh I am so happy. I could listen to Matthew Thiessen sing all day everyday for the rest of my life and never get tired of hearing him. No joke, listening to his voice just puts me at peace and I love the feeling their music brings me.

This album is kind of sad to listen to because Matt T describes it as the break up album. Not that their breaking up, because I would never allow that, but most of the songs describe his emotions towards his break up with his girlfriend. That's why he say's:

Yesterday (Sunday) I spent the day with some of my most favoritest people EVER. It was super fun and very much needed. <3

We spent the afternoon playing dress up in Goodwill, going to Staples, climbing a semi scary sandy hill on the side of the road, laughing, and just loving being together again.

Virus appreciation day.

Stephanie, Graham and I have decided to celebrate and take pictures for random and not so random holiday's. Just for fun, but also for you guys to enjoy. This is our first one, and in honor of the Nora (Noro) virus. Mostly only camp people will get this one, but don't worry, there's more to come for everyone to enjoy!

*oh my goodness! I'm almost there. I'm almost to 365 days. Only 20 days left to go. That's exciting!!

So today my mom, Stephanie and I went to The Salvation Army thrift store for a little bit. I got this beautiful dress, Stephanie got a dress, and my mom got footy pajamas (now we're twins!!). But since my mom's an officer we got a 25% discount, plus the 50% store wide discount. So in total we got 75% off which made everything we bought only $5!! Just one of the perks of my parents working for The Salvation Army. =)

oh and my mom got me In-n-out for lunch!

Geek Squad! Yesterday the Geek Squad guy came over to look at our computer. You see, lately our computer has been cooperating with us very well and has been making a lot of us (especially me) very frustrated. So we had no other choice but to have him come over and guess what? He's a life saver. We have so much space freed up on our computer now it's not even funny. Hopefully that means I can get skype soon...=)

Last night we made homemade pizza! It was the bomb. oh my goodness, best homemade pizza I've ever had.

I know I've said this before, but thrift stores are my love <3

I just love them and can't get enough of them. I like to think that I go to them a lot because they make me happy, but really, I think lately I've come to realize that I might be starting an obssession. It's just that, I have a really hard time going into a thrift store and not buying anything. Even though I usually don't wear all the things I end up buying. But, how can you pass up once in a lifetime deals?

For example, I went to the goodwill yesterday with my momma. I brought my money thinking that I would buy maybe one or two things... this wasn't the case. I cam out with a shirt, a sweater, a dress and a pair of shoes. It's ridiculous. But the deal of the day...

a pair of black (hardly worn) Vans for $7!!!!

You see, I have been wanting a pair of vans for a long time but they're kind of expensive and I only like to spend full price for a pair of shoes if they're converse. So I wasn't planning on getting a pair of vans for reals. But then I saw them yesterday and they were a perfect fit. How could I not?

moral of the story, I just love thrift stores.

*I was told once (yesterday) that I could probably open up my own thrift store with all the random stuff I've bought. and I think that might be close to accurate.

Now I'll describe the bad picture of the stop light, palm tree, and white stuff in the background. That white stuff is called fog, and that's where I live. My little city of Pacifica is located right inside that cloud where it's foggy, cold, and gloomy every day. You can actually tell when you're leaving the could or entering. Recently Stephanie and I have been talking about how much we hate this cloud of ours and decided to call 'it' Fluffy.

So please, whenever you visit or leave Pacifica, please remember to say "hey" or "good-bye" to Fluffy. oh and don't forget to tell him how ridiculous he is.

Finally got my iTunes all working and my iPod all synced up! I love my ipod soooooooo much. I've been waiting a long time to get a new iPod, and now that I have the perfect one for me I'm glad that I waited.

What am I doing on this amazing Friday night? Well I'm wishing I was at the first Shorewood football game tonight cheering on the less than talented but spirited team, and also watching my girl Katie perform her flag routine at it. But that's ok, I'm there in spirit. GO SHOREWOOD!

So instead of doing that I'm at home with the fam and going to have a One Tree Hill season 6 marathon with Stephanieeee!!! We have always thought that show is ridiculous, but know we have fully realized how crazy almost everyone is on the show. but for some reason we love it. Especially watching it together.

Just in case you guys were wondering, the Walgreens by our house just opened today. My parents said I should get a job there.. hhmmm...?? maybe.

Today my family was tourists (again) and saw a few more places around San Francisco with Stephanie. Of course we had to see the Full House house, which looks way different than we thought, the park that they're at in the beginning credits, and a really amazing record store called Amoeba records. It was huge and had everything! Stephanie and I got two more Owl City cd's...=))

That made me very happy because Owl City is my new favorite and I can't stop listening to him.

Then we went to IN-N-OUT for dinner. YEAH!!!

I went to the ER today!!!!!

Now before you start freaking out just listen (or read). So lately I've been having these really back back problems and it's just started to move to my right leg. Like ridiculous pains where I can barely move sometimes. Pretty much, it sucks. My parents and I were obviously worried and wanted to know what's going on. Since we just moved here and dont have a family doctor yet my dad just took me to the ER to try and get this figured out A.S.A.P.

I found out today that I officially hate hospitals. They're depressing, stinky and I hate wating.

Anyways, nothing is super wrong with me. Like I'm not dying or anything. I just have Sciatica (an irritated nerve) in my lower back which also affects my right leg. I have to take Ibuprofen everyday and rest. The medicine-that's easy, but the resting... not so much. I don't do that very well. So we'll see how this works out. I just want to feel better

Ok, here's the truth... I didn't take a picture for yesterday. Not one the whole day. I feel so guilty and so mad at myself. But I guess it was bound to happy huh? well it did.

Yesterday was just a crazy day. I wasnt' feeling well and had a lot on my mind. So I'm so sorry.

*we also passed through a town called Gilroy on our way down and up. Apparently it's known for it's garlic. So the WHOLE town smells like garlic. It was the best thing I have ever experienced. I seriously have never experienced anything like it before.

Saturday:

We left camp Saturday morning and headed to Bakersfield to spend the night at Nancy's house.

On the way we stopped by this place called 'Casa de Fruta'. It was awesome!

Went to the San Francisco Zoo today with Graham, Lauren, Thijs and his friend for part of Thijs' birthday. We got there by taking the Muni from downtown area. The Muni is so cool, it's like a bus/train/subway type of thing that goes part underground and part on ground and I really liked riding it. Way better than taking the bus.

*the last picture is this REALLY scary animal thing in the petting zoo part of the zoo. It said it can grow up to 6 horns... but it just looked so freaky to us!

Today we did the trip all over again. Except this time we went up California. It still took all day and I am wiped out!

This picture isn't that good because it was taken from inside the car, but it's just of one of the bridges you have to cross to get to San Francisco.

p.s.It's day 300! That means I only have 65 more days to go!!!

Yesterday we left the house at 8am and drove to Tustin Ranch and got there around 6pm. We drove through California ALL day long. It was crazy! But Graham, my dad and I went to the church for the WMI (western music institute) final concert. I got to see a lot of my friends from Seattle and other places too. It was really fun and I was really happy. These pictures are just from around the church building. The actual concert was long, boring and WAY too hot in there, so we took some walks outside a few times.

Graham and I got KIDNAPPED!

But really it was Jen Arens being totally awesome and taking us out for the night. We had a scavenger hunt to do with taking pictures, then went and saw a production of My Fair Lady! It was a fun night!

The second picture is of a heart that say's LOVE. They have a few of these around the area we were at and I just love them.

oh and I saw the movie '500 days of Summer' tonight with my brother. I LOVE that movie and I highly recommend that you go see it.

What did I do today?

-went to IN-N-OUT for the second time this week

-got a TB test, that was kind of cool

-saw my new high school. It's called Oceana High School and it's on the top of a hill so it has an amazing view of the ocean. It's pretty cool.

-then tonight we hung out with Jen Arens and the two girls that live with her. We all had dinner and played mexican train together. It was a good time.

this is the bag that I made with my mom yesterday. The yellow is the main side and the red is the inside. But I might just use it as a reversible bag.

Today I:

stayed at home again

did some reading (The Kite Runner)

took a nap

printed pictures at Costco

saw my parents work

then walked around a part of San Francisco...

The fourth picture is a really cool looking Old Navy and the last picture is the top of an amazing mall that we walked around in. It's one of the fanciest malls I have ever been in, with all the big time/expensive brands and stores. Then we got frozen yogurt at this really cool place.

oh and I made a super cool bag tonight with my mom out of old t-shirts. It'll be my picture for tomorrow.

Yesterday I just stayed home. Unpacked a little. went to the park. took a nap. went to the beach. then watched Juno late last night before I went to bed.

Taking naps, watching late night movies by myself and sleeping on the couch downstairs have become my new favorite things to do.

We spent all of Monday at camp Redwood Glen. It was really cool to be there and see the place where my parents worked when they were my age and also where they got married. It was weird being at a different camp than Arnold, but I liked it.

My second day in San Fran and we were driving to camp for the night. We were driving along the ocean and it was the most beautiful day I have seen in a while. The water and sky were so blue and sparkling and the fields were so green. And we saw a bunch of these cool sky diver, hang glider people (or whatever you want to call them).

I love the ocean!

Last day of camp for the summer... everyone left and that equaled a super sad day for many reasons.

I had to say good bye to a lot of people and I hated it.

Thursday just might have been the craziest day of my entire life. Ask anyone who was on staff and they would probably say the exact same thing. To make a long story short:

In the middle of the night people started getting sick. Eventually 73 staff and campers were quarantined in cabins, so on Thursday, camp pretty much shut down and we sent all the campers home early. Then we deep cleaned (bleached) the entire camp for the rest of the day. So by the end of the day we were all wiped out and going crazy. That's why the picture is crappy.

But while the campers were waiting to go home we had chalk for them to play with.

I found this on Thursday night while I was just walking around and I really needed to hear it.
